[Aside Post] Wood Handmade 3 Zodiacs Wheel

Reading Time : 2 minutes

Sometime ago a dear friend of mine reached out to me showing this beautiful wood handmade Three Zodiacs Wheel. Turned out that he’s making them on commission now, so I want to support him with this aside post.

The wood can be used to trace the planetary movements across all 3 Zodiacs:

  • The Tropical Zodiac
  • The Sidereal Zodiac
  • The Astronomical Zodiac

If we want to learn more about it, I’ve discussed about the differences between these Zodiacs in a previews article. Check-out the PDF at the bottom of the post to learn how it works!

Here’s some pictures (click on them to enlarge):

This is a beautiful way to tuning into the rhythm of the planets, and also getting a broader understanding about the difference between their seasonal (time) and physical (space) position.

You can find all the information about the product in the PDF down below, which I really recommend you to download!

Happy Holidays

Reading Time : < 1 minute

Hey Guys,

this is an aside post just to say hi and wish you happy holidays.

I’m going to be back in late August with new articles, and hopefully with some news.

We are in troubled times, and apparently the Saturn-Uranus square is harshly putting us against each other. For this reason I wanted to greet you by pointing out this article:

Meteor Showers — The Iron of the Gods against Anxiety and Fear

Tonight is going to be St. Lawrence’s Night. May the cosmic iron shine through our blood, strengthening us against fear—a feeling that’s increasingly trying to ensnare our hearts these days.

Happy Holidays

Reading Time : < 1 minute

Hey guys,

I just wanted to update you real quick with this aside post. Astrolog 7.20 has been released recently and it is full compatible with the Astronomicon Fonts :)

If you are not familiar with Astrolog it is an astrology program developed by Walter Pullen that I usually use to render the various astrological images that you find on my articles.

Check it out :)

Astrolog for macOS available for download

Reading Time : < 1 minute

Hi guys, I just wanted to update you real quick about astrolog for macOS.

In a previous article I’ve explained how to compile astrolog for macOS with X11 graphics. In fact, the application available to download from the official website doesn’t come with this option activated.

After writing the article Walter D. Pullen, the creator of Astrolog, reached out in the comments asking me to publish the precompiled binary. I am very glad to contribute spreading out this wonderful app.

Now it is available to download from this page, enjoy :)

Astrolog on MacOS X

Reading Time : < 1 minute

Hey guys, so I just wanted to update you real quick about what I’m working on right now. I was looking for a very versatile astrology software for transits analysis and I was surprised discovering the potential of Astrolog, a free software developed by Walter D. Pullen.

It is a command line software (old DOS style!) with graphical features. I managed to compile+link it with graphic features for Mac (X11 XQuartz project) and so far it works very well.

I think this is on one hand a very underestimated program. On the other it is also very geeky and not so easy to use—you really need to know what you are doing. But the potential is big!

For example, Astrolog is one of the few astrology software around that can render 3D graphics. I love it, and I think I’m gonna use it for displaying charts on the blog. In the near future I might be able to integrate it on the blog itself with a web page interface!

Have a good week 🙏☀️

Rob

Update: I’ve added a new page in the blog about how to install Astrolog on macOS with X11 graphics
