Total Lunar Eclipse in Taurus 2022 — Mercury Cazimi and the Blood Moon

Reading Time : 7 minutes

Mercury, the messenger of the Gods, joins the divine banquet. He sits at the table of the solar deity as his guest of honor. The wanderer reveals secrets that had been lurking in the shadows of the world. And as a reward, every wish of him is granted.

In the previous article we’ve discussed about the Partial Solar Eclipse in Scorpio. The event that opened Eclipse Season two. In this article, we are going to talk about the second and last event of the season. It is going to be a Total Lunar Eclipse taking place at 16°00′ Taurus on November 8. And it is going to occur during the Full Moon of the same lunation.

This eclipse is definitely special. Not only because, as we are going to see, it mirrors both the eclipses of the first season. But especially because it is going to feature a Mercury Cazimi, an extremely rare event.

The Jupiter-Uranus Sextile 2022 — Final Stage of a 14-year Cycle

Reading Time : 4 minutes

In a previous post we’ve introduced Jupiter’s journey through Pisces and Aries. In the first part of the year, until May 2022, Jupiter is going to make harmonizing aspects with all three generational planets: Uranus, Neptune and Pluto. In this article we are going to focus on one of them.

On February 18th 2022 Jupiter in Pisces is going to make a sextile with Uranus at 11° 13′ Taurus. In order to understand this aspect, we need to put it into context by looking at the whole Jupiter-Uranus cycle.

LIghtwaves by By Anneleven

We’ve already discussed about it in this post, when Jupiter was making a square with Uranus back in January 2021. So let’s first and foremost look at the current cycle of the two planets in order to understand the general meaning of this aspect.

The Saturn Uranus Square 2021 — Third Stage of a 44-year cycle

Reading Time : 7 minutes

Time is marked by great Universal Rythms. Some of them are quick, lasting for not even a month. Others are very slow, working on the world through waves of the lowest frequency. The Saturn Uranus Cycle falls definitely somewhere in between, linking together two living Archetypes that are opposite to each other.

In the previous article we discussed about the forces at play, in order to get a general understanding of the square aspect they are currently making. Freedom and control, destruction and construction, progressives and conservatives, revolution and the status quo.

If you are interested in learning more about the Saturn Uranus Square per se, please check that out. In this article we are going to be focusing on the current cycle they are undertaking, which is a 44-year process.

So, when did this cycle started? What have been its most important stages so far? Looking at the way the Archetypes have been interacting in the past is crucial. In fact understanding the whole cycle is going to allow us to give to the 2021 square a much broader sense. What is the general significance of the clash between Saturn and Uranus that will last for the next two years?

The Saturn Uranus Square 2021 — The Main Astrological Event of the Year

Reading Time : 6 minutes

In this article we are going to introduce the Saturn Uranus Square, a topic that will require future in-depth studies and posts. As we have discussed in the overall view of 2021, this is going to be the main event of the year. And we can’t ignore that this aspect is taking place just one year after the explosion of the still ongoing covid-19 pandemic.

So what can we expect from these two powerful Archetypes? How are they going to interact with each other during this square? And what are the main consequences that are going to manifest during this year? Let’s start by taking into account the main significations expressed by these two strong planets.

Saturn vs Uranus: The Archetypes at Play

Saturn and Uranus are two planets that in modern astrology rule together the zodiac sign of Aquarius. This implies that in a sense they know each other very well, and that they can get along easily. But before adding Aquarius into the equation, for now let’s just compare their significations to get an idea of what they represent.

Generally speaking we can say that the Archetypes they are an expression of represent antipodal forces. In the two columns below you can compare both lists of significations. You can look at them as pairs of opposites placed on the same row.

Lunar Eclipse in Gemini 2020 — The Dragon’s Quicksilver

Reading Time : 5 minutes

This year we all feel the desire of bringing Christmas forward. We look at the lights and decorations with a certain advance, because we feel surrounded by darkness more than usual. These lights filling the streets are like fairies watching over us in our sleep. We want to have them around.

But in addition to these lights, others are getting closer. Creeping reflections of silver scales are slowly approaching the waxing moon, in the attempt to swallow it. It’s the head of the dragon, Caput Draconis, the North lunar node in Gemini.

As we’ve mentioned earlier, we are going to have a couple of eclipses before the end of the year. On November 30 a Penumbral Lunar Eclipse is going to take place at 8°45’ Gemini, the first eclipse in this sign since 2012.

The second eclipse is going to be way more important, since it’s going to be a Total Solar Eclipse occurring on December 14th at 23°06’ Sagittarius.

Full Moon in Gemini

As we know, a lunar eclipse happens during a full moon. This because the Sun, the Earth and the Moon are properly aligned in this order.

A full moon always counter balances the forces coming from the Sun. The masculine energy of the Sun in Sagittarius finds his counter part in the feminine forces of a full moon in Gemini.

Uranus Retrograde 2020 — Rise of the Digital Dollar?

Reading Time : 5 minutes

In the myth, Prometheus was the hero who stole the fire from the gods and gave it to men. Through the powers of the sacred flame mankind evolved. From an animal state to the dignity of civilization.

Prometheus is in particular an Uranian hero, at least from the astrological perspective. In fact the forces carried on by this planet concern science, progress and the development of new tools—all Uranian significations.

So what does it mean when Uranus turns retrograde? And how is it going to affect the current situation worldwide?

Penumbral Lunar Eclipse in Leo 2017

Reading Time : 3 minutesI used to like eclipses. They are dark, mysterious—glamorous, in a way. But now that I am a little bit more aware of what they represent, I have become immune to their charm. More or less.

They are indeed a very cool phenomenon. But in ancient times they were also seen as an omen of doom—or even worse. Actually, it must have been terrible to attend to a Solar Eclipse. The very source of all life on earth suddenly faded away. Only priests and astrologers could give them a deeper meaning—exorcising the fear.

But we are not going to talk about a Solar Eclipse in this post. [ictt-tweet-inline]On February 10 a Penumbral Lunar Eclipse is going to occur[/ictt-tweet-inline]. Basically a dark shading will appear on the Moon’s face. During the peak of the eclipse the shadow will be larger and darker.

Lunar eclipses always happen on a full moon night. This because the Sun, the Earth and the Moon need to be aligned properly. When they are, the Earth casts its shadow on the Moon.

Full Moon in Leo

When the Moon is full its cycle reaches the peak. It is the culmination of both energy and light, a moment of revelation. The night is lighted at most—as it is our unconscious mind. [ictt-tweet-inline]It’s time for lucid dreaming, core shadow work and deep understanding of the psyche[/ictt-tweet-inline].

The Full Moon in Leo brings a subtle golden light which gently marries the pure white silver energy of Imbolc. It relates to the archetype of the Good Queen—loved by all the people as the mother of the realm. She brings abundance, generosity, magnanimity, protection and a golden legacy.

A Good Eclipse

This is going to be a good eclipse. For starters, the North Lunar Node is involved. If you are not familiar with lunar nodes, you can think of them as the spots in the sky where eclipses can occur. They are the North Node and the South Node, opposed to each other. In a nutshell, astrologers of old regarded the North Node as a Jupiter-like energy point (which is good); the South Node, as a Saturn-like one (which is bad). Please note I am oversimplifying here.

The North Node is about expansion, new energy, and material wealth. Combined with the Lunar Eclipse, it is going to reveal shadow aspects or dysfunctional behaviors in order to enable positive change. This doesn’t mean it’s going to be easy—eclipses never are. Nevertheless—although your discoveries may be hard—in the end it will be worth it.

As always, your Natal Chart houses will provide the context (work, family, romance, etc.). But generally speaking this eclipse is saying: not all that glitters is gold. Or vice versa, things we usually look down on may turn out to be very valuable.

Grand Trine of Fire and Mystic Rectangle

The second reason that brings me to say this is going to be a good eclipse lies in its beauty. The Moon is going to close two major planetary configurations: a Grand Trine of Fire (Moon in Leo, Saturn in Sagittarius and Uranus in Aries) and a Mystic Rectangle (Moon in Leo, Sun in Aquarius, Jupiter in Libra and Uranus in Aries).

They are both easing configurations that are going to affect the ongoing Cardinal T-Square. The Grand Trine of Fire represents a positive cooperation between forces of the same element. It’s like having the Good Queen (Moon in Leo) giving the representative of the people (Uranus in Aries) an audience to listen to his complaints with the advice of the old High Priest (Saturn in Sagittarius).

On the other hand, the Mystic Rectangle combines the dynamic energy of two oppositions with the balancing contribution of two trines and two sextiles. It’s like funneling a bad tension towards a constructive outcome. The main tension here is the well known opposition between Jupiter in Libra and Uranus in Aries. To put it simply, what it is legally right (Jupiter in Libra) doesn’t necessarily correspond to justice for the people (Uranus in Aries).

In Conclusion

We can expect a “moment of truth” coming—a bolt from the blue that turns your world upside down. What we believed to be valuable had no solid foundation; what we considered worthless will prove to be worthy. At first, it will feel like having the earth missing under your feet. But eventually, everything is going to fall into place.

Please note that the effects of an eclipse take some time to manifest. This kind of event creates a sensible spot (22° Leo) that should be monitored for the next months. Upcoming transits will definitely trigger it again in the very next future.

The Eclipse is going to occur with the Moon and the Sun at 22° Leo and Aquarius respectively. It’s going to be visible from America, Europe, Africa and Asia.
