The Jupiter-Neptune Conjunction 2022 — Beginning of a New Spiritual Cycle

Reading Time : 4 minutes

Much has been said about Jupiter in Pisces after the war broke out in Ukraine. How is it possible for such horrible things to happen during a benefic transit like that?

Jupiter is the so called Great Benefic, and in Pisces it’s in his domicile. This means that his influence is remarkably strong. So it’s perfectly normal to argue that under his wings humanity should feel safe and not on the edge of World War III.

We spoke favorably about it too, describing it as the Great Cosmic Harmonizer in this post. And we do not intend to take that back—the influence of Jupiter is certainly beneficial. So why is this horrendous scenario taking place?

The first thing that I’d like to highlight is that things could have been much worse. In general we tend to focus on bad things because they always come with drama. They get our attention easily, and media speculate on it.

Neptune Retrograde in Pisces 2020 – Imaginative Knowledge

Reading Time : 3 minutes

“All that we see or seem is but a dream within a dream.”
Edgar Allan Poe

As every year, Neptune in Pisces turns retrograde for about 6 months. The power of chaos and images fuels Midsummer dream state. Waves of shapeless colors, distant sounds, blurred encounters, expanding feelings, boundless horizons, mystical impulses. Nature whispers to let yourself go and give up control.

During its retrograde motion, Neptune is going to make two sextiles with Jupiter in Capricorn. As we know, Jupiter in Capricorn is in its fall, meaning that the planet of philosophers is dealing with hard lessons coming from the earthly realm of matter (Capricorn). And we all know what these lessons are, considering 2020 so far.

Still, these sextiles are going to loosen the grip. Many people are dreaming about a better future, looking at the worldwide chaos as an opportunity for change. The neptunian energy can be the amniotic fluid that provides a space for these ideas to grow, a gestation for a better world.

The importance of dreams unfolds itself clearly before our eyes. No human vision can be pursued if we lack the ability to imagine it. Imagining requires escaping from the world of senses, emerging in a place of pure thoughts where anything is possible. A place where we risk to get lost, abducted by the fairies. But also a place where we can develop a real bridge towards higher realities.

Anthroposophy and Imaginative Knowledge

How is it possible to gain more consciousness about this inner dimension? How can we process the chaotic world of images we bear inside, to give birth to something completely new? Our modern world is insanely saturated with images that pull us from every direction.

One possible answer comes from Rudolf Steiner’s Anthroposophy that indicates a way through this chaotic world of inner images, to develop a new state of consciousness called Imaginative Knowledge. Developing a new state of consciousness, especially in regards to the life of images, is a neptunian challenge for modern times.

You can think of Imaginative Knowledge as the transformation of our normal dream state to a higher octave. A state of consciousness that would enable us to penetrate in the world of the living Archetypes, Plato’s world of Ideas that he called Hyperuranion—a place beyond the heavens.

In this state of consciousness we experience each component of the inner image as if it was “intelligent”, a symbol constantly and intuitively streaming meanings towards our mind. It’s not a mere vision, something we passively undergo. We feel our will, as well as our whole inner world, actively united with the experience.

For more information about Imaginative Knowledge, and higher states of consciousness as described by Rudolf Steiner you can find more information in his book “Knowledge of the Higher Worlds And Its Attainment”, freely available online.

In addition, if you are interested in Anthroposophy I highly suggest Giorgio Tarditi Spagnoli’s blog. Specifically you can find a recent article about the 7 Nights of Midsummer Dreams that relates this period of the year with the 13 Holy Nights following the winter solstice. Check it out!

Annular Solar Eclipse in Pisces 2017

Reading Time : 3 minutesAn Annular, Solar Eclipse is like an ovule. The Sun disc appear bigger than the Moon, creating a ring of light in the sky at the peak of the event. We can think of it as a sort of “egg of change”—fecundated by the solar force.

As we have discussed before, a Solar Eclipse is about new beginnings. If the North Lunar Node is involved, they are constructive, amplifying and positive. Whereas if the eclipse occurs on South Lunar Node—as in this case—they are destructive and negative. But don’t freak out.

Positive or negative are relative concepts. [ictt-tweet-inline]Destruction can be functional just as construction can be dysfunctional[/ictt-tweet-inline]. It all depends on what you need right now. If you are turning your world upside down this eclipse might be right for you. But if you’re looking for a peaceful stability it could definitely get in the way!

Mars and Mercury activating the Eclipse

Mars will give dynamism to the event (as if it was needed!). In particular, the Cardinal T-Square—Jupiter in Libra, Uranus in Aries and Pluto in Capricorn—will be triggered by the transit of the God of War. Being in Aries, Mars will give the major configuration a great boost. The conjunction with Uranus (freedom, revolution, sudden changes) is an explosive mix that will not take long to manifest.

The Cardinal T-Square is about tension between legal justice (Jupiter in Libra), social justice (Uranus in Aries) and financial power (Pluto in Capricorn). Before long, we can expect the political landscape to suffer a serious shock, especially for the areas most affected by the eclipse (see below).

In addition the Sun and the Moon are going to be in conjunction with Neptune, lord of the collective unconscious feelings. This means all this will touch deeply the public opinion.

As always, the effects of the eclipse will reveal themselves in the following months. Since it’s going to take place at 8° 12′ Pisces, we need to monitor that spot for upcoming transits. In particular Mercury is going to hit 9° Pisces on March 3, which is also when Jupiter and Uranus are going to perfect their opposition.

We can conclude that the eclipse effects will show up very soon. If you want to see how the eclipse is going to affect you please check 9° Pisces on your Natal Chart to see if any planet or angle are triggered. If so, the houses affected are mainly the ones represented by the planet.

Most affected areas

The eclipse is going to take place on February 26 at 14:58 (UTC Time) at 9° Pisces. It is going to be visible in South/West Africa, Much of South America, Pacific, Atlantic, Indian Ocean and Antarctica. However we must not think that those places are also the ones most affected astrologically.

The power of any astrological event depends on the houses. The closer to the angles (Ascendant AS, Midheaven MC, Descendant DS and Imum Coeli IC), the more powerful it is. Through Astrocartography we can discover exactly where the eclipse is going to thrive.

Below is a list of places most affected:

  • AS: USA, North/West Coast (east of San Francisco/Portland/Seattle), Canada (east of Vancouver)
  • MC: Brazil (east of Rio de Janeiro, west of Fortaleza)
  • DS: Russia (east of St. Petersbourg, west of Moscow), Finland (western border), Iraq (west of Baghdad)
  • IC: Japan (South/West Tokio, Mt. Fuji), Australia (Adelaide)
