Total Lunar Eclipse in Taurus 2022 — Mercury Cazimi and the Blood Moon

Reading Time : 7 minutes

Mercury, the messenger of the Gods, joins the divine banquet. He sits at the table of the solar deity as his guest of honor. The wanderer reveals secrets that had been lurking in the shadows of the world. And as a reward, every wish of him is granted.

In the previous article we’ve discussed about the Partial Solar Eclipse in Scorpio. The event that opened Eclipse Season two. In this article, we are going to talk about the second and last event of the season. It is going to be a Total Lunar Eclipse taking place at 16°00′ Taurus on November 8. And it is going to occur during the Full Moon of the same lunation.

This eclipse is definitely special. Not only because, as we are going to see, it mirrors both the eclipses of the first season. But especially because it is going to feature a Mercury Cazimi, an extremely rare event.

Total Lunar Eclipse in Scorpio 2022 in T-Square with Saturn

Reading Time : 6 minutes

On May 16th we are going to have the second and last eclipse of the first season of the year. This is going to be a Total Lunar Eclipse, taking place at 25° 17′ Scorpio. The first was a Partial Solar Eclipse in Taurus, and it was the new moon of the current lunation. This lunar eclipse instead is its full moon.

In general a solar eclipse affects the human willing. This is because the beginning of the lunation, the new moon, is dark and unconscious as the forces of our will. As we know from Anthroposophy human beings “are sleeping in their willing”.

A lunar eclipse instead affects mainly the human thinking. Thoughts are the result of the reflection in the brain of the imaginative etheric thinking. This reflecting activity belongs to the lunar forces, especially when the Moon is full. Simply put, the etheric thinking of the heart-Sun is reflected by the brain-Moon.

Since lunar eclipses occur during a full moon, they mainly affect our thinking. Steiner said that the cone of shadow that the Earth cast on the Moon during the eclipse allows nasty astral influences to pour into the earth. You can think of it as an upside down funnel, creating an opening for harmful entities. Hence, we want to take particular care of our thinking during a moon eclipse.

Eclipse season 2 is here. We are going to have a Partial Lunar Eclipse at 27° 14′ Taurus on November 19th, the first in this sign since 2014. Whereas on December 4th there will be a Total Solar Eclipse at 12° 22′ Sagittarius. The first is a Full Moon event, the second a New Moon, so the phenomena belong to two different lunation. This means that in terms of forces involved, they’re going to be separate events.

Eclipses 2021 Season 1 — Super Blood Moon in Sagittarius on Vesak, Purification of Thinking

Reading Time : 6 minutes

“I don’t envision a single thing that, when unguarded, leads to such great harm as the mind.
The mind, when unguarded leads to great harm.”
— Gautama Buddha (Anguttara Nikaya 1.33)

The silver disc of the Full Moon hovers huge in the silent sky. And during a warm spring night its pale light suddenly turns blood red, as it relentlessly crosses Cauda Draconis—the Dragon’s Tail. As the world celebrates the birth and enlightenment of Gautama Buddha, the coils of the Dragon wrap up all around it. And here’s the night of Vesak 2021, starting the first season of this year’s eclipses.

The next Full Moon on May 26 is going to be a Total Lunar Eclipse, taking place at 5° 25′ Sagittarius. And not only the Moon is going to completely tinge with red, turning in a so called Blood Moon. But the event is also going to happen during a Supermoon. Meaning that the luminary is going to appear particularly big due to its proximity to the Earth (perigee).

So what are the implications of this event on Earth? What can Astrosophy tell us in regard to Lunar Eclipses? And what does the figure of Buddha have to do with all this? In this article we are going to answer to these questions, focusing in particular on the recent entrance of Jupiter in Pisces.

Lunar Eclipse in Gemini 2020 — The Dragon’s Quicksilver

Reading Time : 5 minutes

This year we all feel the desire of bringing Christmas forward. We look at the lights and decorations with a certain advance, because we feel surrounded by darkness more than usual. These lights filling the streets are like fairies watching over us in our sleep. We want to have them around.

But in addition to these lights, others are getting closer. Creeping reflections of silver scales are slowly approaching the waxing moon, in the attempt to swallow it. It’s the head of the dragon, Caput Draconis, the North lunar node in Gemini.

As we’ve mentioned earlier, we are going to have a couple of eclipses before the end of the year. On November 30 a Penumbral Lunar Eclipse is going to take place at 8°45’ Gemini, the first eclipse in this sign since 2012.

The second eclipse is going to be way more important, since it’s going to be a Total Solar Eclipse occurring on December 14th at 23°06’ Sagittarius.

Full Moon in Gemini

As we know, a lunar eclipse happens during a full moon. This because the Sun, the Earth and the Moon are properly aligned in this order.

A full moon always counter balances the forces coming from the Sun. The masculine energy of the Sun in Sagittarius finds his counter part in the feminine forces of a full moon in Gemini.
