Male and female, hot and cold, war and love. Among the planets, no couple represents complementary forces better than Venus and Mars. Not only because together they describe the Archetype at the very foundation of will and desire. But especially because we all experience in life the struggle that inevitably derives from their union.
Frans Wouters (Rubens School) — venus and mars
I don’t usually talk about Venus and Mars, and for a very simple reason. Their aspects are usually very quick, and it doesn’t make much sense to talk about their influence. But this is not always the case.
Sometimes Venus, which is usually quicker than mars, slows down. To the point that Mars is capable of accompany her in the sky for an unusually long period of time. In this article we are going to talk about their long conjunction through Capricorn and Aquarius.

As we have seen previously, the Jupiter-Saturn Conjunction is going to start a whole new cycle in the Air Element. This is going to have a great impact in the way mankind relate to this element in the upcoming 200 years. But what about the individual? Is it possible to understand the impulse brought by this important event to the life of a single person?
In this article we are going to see how these two planets are at the very foundation of everybody’s social life. We are also going to explore the way their conjunction affect us, and in particular how this aspect relates with a new impulse for our career and place in society.
First of all it’s very important to understand the nature of both planets in regard to social life. Jupiter and Saturn are the slowest among the classical seven planets. This means that people born within the same year share the position of Jupiter, having it in the same zodiac sign. And the same applies to Saturn which—changing sign every roughly 3 years—is shared by people born within that period.
For this reason, Astrologers refer to them also as Social Planets. They are the pillars of our social life because they represent two essential aspects of it: sense of belonging to the community and formal role (or position) in the society. Let’s see that into more detail.

Previously, we’ve talked about the Saturn-Pluto Conjunction for China and Italy. In this article we are going to discuss about the same issue in regards to India. We are going to focus not only on Saturn, that rules three important points related to health issues, but also on Mercury. Being in the Tenth House, Mercury activates issues related to the rule of democratic law. Let’s check it out.

Previously, we’ve talked about the Saturn-Pluto Conjunction for China. In this article we are going to tackle the same issue in regards to Italy. We are also going to compare the two situations, specifically by looking at their Moon. In fact, we are going to find an interesting correlation between the two, as they are both going to be receiving similar transits.
Now, we all know at this point that this is a pandemic. So, does it make any sense to consider the situation just for a single nation? The short answer is yes. Even though this is a world wide issue, we don’t have to forget that the outbreak hit first—and more violently—some nations and not others. Italy has been the first and most involved among the European countries, so it definitely has a leading role in fighting the outbreak.

Each new moon occurs in darkness—like a seed sprouting underground. The doors of the skies are opened and new astral forces can penetrate into the orbit of the earth. Every month this process happens under the auspices of a zodiac sign, which leaves its mark on those energies.
Let’s take a break from the Cardinal T-square. Yes—it is still there—but the upcoming lunar month seems to detach from its energies. Actually, we should say “from all energies” because the Moon and the Sun (always in conjunction on a New Moon) are not making any aspect. With no other planet. No one.
It’s like a month off, an opportunity to move away from it all—and just breathe. Sometimes January feels like it, right? Everything stands still under a blanket of snow. Nature rests, and it’s time to just observe in silence without acting.
Sabian Symbol @ 9° Aquarius
When I can’t find many clues about a planet or—as in this case—a conjunction I take a look at the Sabian Symbols. Their story is very interesting, so I highly suggest you to check them out. In a nutshell, they are 360 symbols related to each degree of the Zodiac. Modern astrologers often use them as an intuitive tool to think out of the box.
KEYNOTE: The dynamic incorporation of new social values in individuals who exemplify the spiritual potential and greatest significance of these values.
[…] All that is implied here is the vitalization of a powerful symbol, its embodiment in a living reality, i.e. in a person able to fly in consciousness to the highest spiritual realm. The archetype is given living substance and wings. The Image has become a Power.
I really like this symbol. The flag turning into an eagle means—as Rudhyar suggests—that what we usually consider as an ideal symbol must become a living being. The POTUS for example should embody the ideals that US citizens project on him. Ok, I know—please don’t laugh—I’m not saying that Trump is going to become that eagle.
We have already discussed about his inauguration speech. And—let’s face it—he is far from even resemble the ideal POTUS. But in my opinion it’s not important the way he presents himself. What really matters is what he is actually going to do. So, is he really going to make social justice? What do you think? We will see.
Lovers in the Sky
Venus and Mars are in conjunction. This powerful encounter—occurring in the emotional sign of Pisces—is all about love and romance. It tells a struggling story, though. The planets can’t reach each other (separating aspect), as Saturn gets in their way—squaring the conjunction.
It’s almost like the Saturnian energy (could be an authoritarian father, a stifling job, or the lack of money) is preventing the beloved (Venus) to reach the lover (Mars)—who’s leaving the country in search of fortune (he is actually about to change sign).
As you can see Astrology is able to depict in the sky human dramas that are able to inspire us all. Do you feel any connection with it? Let me know in the comments below.
Secrets Revealed
Mercury has reached Pluto. When the planet of communication is in conjunction with the ruler of hidden powers things get very interesting. [ictt-tweet-inline]There can be both whispered secrets and manipulative lies[/ictt-tweet-inline].
From a social perspective—since Pluto represents the financial elite—this can also be the beginning of an interesting dialogue with Trump. Nevertheless, the square with both Jupiter and Uranus do not bode well for the short-term future.

As we have discussed in a previous article, this month we are going to assist to a very tight conjunction between Jupiter and Venus. In this post we are going to describe the meaning of this aspect which is going to take place in the sign of Virgo on August 27th.
Venus and Jupiter—the two benefics—are traditionally known as Fortuna Minor and Fortuna Major, respectively. They were regarded as “good planets” which brought fortune and happiness in life: Jupiter represents expansion, ideals, trust, confidence, growth, a sense of belonging and abundance; Venus is the goddess of love that brings romance, pleasure, contentment, balance, beauty and well-being.
Theoretically their conjunction can be read as a combination of the given symbologies. So, for example we have: fulfilling relationships; abundance of love; beautiful ideals; aesthetics (philosophy of art, beauty and taste); wealth and health; growth experiences through relationships; community support; trust and openness towards others, etc.
Now that we’ve got a list of possible meanings we have to narrow them down to those compatible with Virgo. Basically the sign tunes—like a radio—the planetary energy, giving it a specific frequency or “mode of expression”. Unfortunately, this is when bad news get in the way because Jupiter and Venus in Virgo are in their detriment and fall, respectively.
This means that the Virgo energy is not very compatible with those of the planets. First of all—as an earth sign—Virgo is mainly concerned with practical issues such as work, money, stability, and so on. Specifically, it is a very work oriented sign: it is efficient, attentive to details, responsible, humble and it fits perfectly in job routine. As you can see things are not going to be as rosy as we expected.
Let’s see now how this type of energy is going to affect the conjunction. Jupiter in Virgo is not able to express freely its higher, philosophical, ideals and it is literally brought back down-to-earth. Its ability to expand and grow things is applied to the material plane (earth element), so the leading thought becomes: “work hard and everything is going to be all right”. Mainly, Jupiter in Virgo brings wealth through hard work and confidence—still, any higher achievement is sacrificed in return.
Similarly, Venus in Virgo loses both her artistic and romantic qualities. The love she is able to express here passes through the earth element: she’s mainly concerned with the well-being of the beloved ones, taking care of them through material support. It is a motherly and mature type of love. If Jupiter in Virgo brings wealth, Venus’ gift is a good health.
In conclusion, this conjunction enables us to confront an underestimated—but not so unusual—form of love. It is that type of love which requires us to take responsibility, to work hard, to take care of those we love, to believe that in the end everything’s going to be alright. Venus and Jupiter in Virgo may be debilitated—unable to be who they really are—but they are nevertheless able to give us a precious life lesson.
