In a previous post, I’ve discussed about the conjunction between Mars, Uranus and the North Node. This conjunction, which is triggering the energy of the last eclipses, is still going on. And yet, Mars is catching our attention again. The God of War is indeed going to start soon a process that is going to involve the sky for the second half of the year.
On August 20, Mars is going to enter Gemini and it is going to stay there for a good seven months due to its retrograde motion. Mars turns retrograde roughly every other year. Last time we’ve been talking about it, it was in Aries during the second half of 2020.

In this article we are going to break down the main steps of this long transit, and we are going to talk about its aspects with the slower planets. In particular, we are going to focus on this fall, when Mars is going to make a long trine with Saturn and a square with Neptune.

Mars in Gemini 2022 Meaning
In a Natal Chart, Mars in Gemini represents self-affirmation based on a smart and persuasive use of language. It is the placement of marketing, where we get what we want by knowing what to say and how to say it. Its ways are very light and funny, since there’s no need to be aggressive to reach the goal.
Sometimes we may cross the line mocking other people, but in general this placement isn’t bad. We can also stand up for ourselves by showing that we know more about it. After all, knowledge is power and a dense network of acquaintances could also help us prevail. Here the strength of the mind has priority over brute strength. The pen is sharper than the sword.
On a collective level, we could witness to an increase of aggressiveness in the tones of propaganda, as well as in social media. Information and scandals turn into weapons. War becomes mainly a market war, due to the resource supply issues caused by the eclipses.
Financial speculation could also be a real problem here. At the turn of 2007 and 2008, Mars was retrograde in Gemini. It was under this transit that the financial crisis occurred due to uncontrolled financial speculation. Please note that Mars retrograde in Gemini also preceded the 1929 crisis.

Mars in Gemini for 7 Months
Let’s take a look at the graphic ephemeris for Mars. As you can see in the picture below, from January to July Mars crossed pretty quickly the zodiac signs from Sagittarius to Taurus. Then it started slowing down, and now it is about to enter Gemini.

If we take a look at the second picture right above, we can clearly see in early August the conjunction with Uranus and the square with Saturn. But what mainly strikes us here are the long trine with Saturn and the square with Neptune that are going to take place from late September to early December.
These aspects are going to be prolonged by Mars stationing at 25°36′ Gemini on October 30, turning retrograde until January 12, 2023. Then it’s going to turn direct again at 8°07′ Gemini, to definitely leave the sign only on March 25, 2023.

Mars in Gemini 2022 Aspects
We are going to talk about the Mars-Saturn Trine in a dedicated article. For now, we want to focus our attention on the fact that this event is going to overlap to the last tightening of the Saturn-Uranus Square. As we know, this was the most important astrological event of 2021.

Even though it is not going to perfect anymore, this autumn the aspect is going to be partile (exact to the degree). These planetary forces are going to raise their tension again. As we know this square usually manifests as social struggles and riots against the governments.
Mars’ role is going to be crucial during the last phase of this aspect. From Gemini, Mars is going to assist Saturn (governments) through a media campaign that is going to be also supported by the Sun and Venus. This is because Venus and the Sun, both in Libra are going to close the trine in a Grand Trine of Air.
We are going to deepen this fascinating configuration towards the end of the summer. For now, we can expect the Mars-Neptune Square to shatter many dreams or illusions that we have been nurturing up to this moment in regard to the current world situation. Gemini is about practical information, whereas Neptune in Pisces is all about dreaming a better future. This is not necessarily bad—we need that, too—but Mars retrograde will have to deal with concrete issues that overshadow dreams.

Thank you, Roberto, for this listing. I’m so calm now. But this picture promises to live something unusual. I want to be in March as soon as possible:) and discover myself.
It’s going to be something similar to what we experienced in 2021, but in a more “dynamic” context… fingers crossed!
